Criticality Assessment 2024 launch webinar

The identification of critical raw materials is an essential tool in the UK’s pursuit of a secure supply of the elements essential to a functioning society and thriving economy.

BGS have published the 2024 Criticality Assessment, produced by the UK Critical Minerals Intelligence Centre, and held a live webinar event on Thursday 28 November – a recording of which is now available online.

Critical raw materials are both of great strategic importance to a country’s economy and national security and a source of vulnerability in terms of disruption to global supply chains. Our assessment aims to capture the nuance of this balance and provide Government, industry and policymakers with the data that will support the country’s ability to build resilience and drive growth across the economy.
