METEOR is a three-year project led by the BGS aiming to apply Earth observation to improve understanding of risk exposure, hazards and vulnerability.
Research in these laboratories focuses on understanding fluid (water, gas and solutes) movement and rock deformation in the subsurface.
The BGS offers students the chance to work with our scientists and support staff to provide them with experience in the workplace.
Remote sensing of land surface temperature is a useful method of extracting information about the surface for geoenvironmental studies.
