International geoscience
BGS has a strong portfolio of commissioned international programmes, including applied research covering the breadth of the BGS strategy, and capacity building projects across the world.
We have worked extensively for many of the world’s principal development agencies including the FCDO, the World Bank, the European Union, the Inter-American, African and Asian Development Banks, World Health Organization and United Nations agencies.
We partner with a wide range of organisations including HM Government, international government departments, other geological survey organisations, academic organisations and industry.
Our recent work includes the Partnerships for Development programme, grant-funded projects like CEPHaS, and work for the World Bank including developing the Nigeria Geodata Centre.
