BGS has a strong portfolio of commissioned international programmes, including applied research covering the breadth of the BGS Strategy and capacity-building projects across the world.
We have worked extensively for many of the world’s principal development agencies including:
- Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office
- World Bank
- European Union
- Inter-American, African and Asian Development Banks
- World Health Organization
- United Nations agencies
We also partner with a wide range of organisations including HM Government, international government departments, other geological survey organisations, academic organisations and industry.
Our recent work includes the Partnerships for Development programme, grant-funded projects and work for the World Bank, including developing the Nigeria Geodata Centre.
