Esther has a first degree is in Chemistry, a Master on Business Administration and a PhD on “Characterisation and wear of itinerant radioactive particles from Dounreay”. Esther joined the BGS in 2019 and bring over 13 years’ experience as a senior proposal writer for both the private sector (from SMEs to global Blue Chip companies) and academia. Most recently, Esther was Head of Research Grant Capture Team at Nottingham Trent University, where Esther supported the submission of successful proposals for over £40 million of research funding from a range of regional, national and international bodies. Esther has experience in idea generation, concept development, proposal writing, funding applications, project management (PRINCE2 qualified) and project coordination.
