- HPLC-ICP-MS method development; speciation of As, Se, Cr in environmental matrices
- Bioaccesibility studies using BARGE UBM method
- Soil chemistry and the effect of agricultural practices on elemental speciation within soil systems
Current projects and collaboration
- Analysis of natural waters, HF digests and fusions by ICP-MS
- Specialised instrumental applications, including speciation of As, Cr, Se by HPLC-ICP-MS, isotope dilution, UBM/bioaccessibility studies and iodine analysis
- Part-time PhD within Centre for Environmental Geochemistry, investigating bioavailability of hexavalent chromium from soils near mine waste dumps in Zambia and the implications for staple crops
