  • 2010: PhD University of Edinburgh Dissertation: Submarine mass movement processes on the North Sea Fan as interpreted from 3D seismic data

Current projects and collaboration

  • MAREMAP: Marine Environmental Mapping Programme. MAREMAP is an initiative of the British Geological Survey (BGS), the National Oceanographic Centre (NOC) and the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS). It has the following main aims:

    Mapping the offshore seabed substrate, geomorphology and Quaternary Geology utilising shallow seismic, sidescan sonar, multibeam echosounder and sample data.

    Development/promotion of new and novel techniques for acoustic data interpretation.
