Vacancy - enquiries and public engagement assistant (2200006N)

This role will be based at the BGS Office in London, which is situated in the Natural History Museum in South Kensington.

This role will support the delivery of the re-focused BGS Information Point and help deliver the new joint Geoscience Discovery Partnership alongside Natural History Museum (NHM) colleagues.

The role will have a strong customer facing position, providing a point of contact for geoscience enquiries to BGS from members of the public (visiting the Natural History Museum) and also working alongside the BGS enquiries team to monitor and respond to enquiries that come through the Information Point and the corporate BGS enquiries service.

The Geoscience Discovery Partnership will develop geoscience public engagement programmes with a focus on diversity and inclusion in geoscience, public perception of geoscience, identification services and the development of training for interested publics.

The role will assist in the planning, co-ordination and evaluation of BGS’s attendance at key events as well as assist the wider BGS public engagement team to deliver the BGS Public Engagement Strategy.
