Science Advisory Committee Vacancies

The BGS is currently developing its new strategy to cover the period 2023-2028 and is now looking to make several appointments to its independent Science Advisory Committee.

The role of the committee includes advising the BGS Director on the delivery of the overall science strategy for the BGS as a national and international centre of excellence for geosciences in a way that maximises and demonstrates its impact.  More detailed Terms of Reference for the committee can be found on the BGS website at BGS Science Advisory Committee.

Where eligible to receive them, committee members can claim reasonable travel and subsistence expenses, along with an attendance fee of £170 per meeting, in accordance with NERC / UKRI policies.

The closing date for receipt of applications is noon on Friday 17 February 2023.
