I recently moved to the UK for my position as Hydrogeologist at BGS Wallingford. Previously, I worked at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), first as a PhD student, and as a postdoctoral researcher. My PhD project investigated nitrogen removal pathways at a small-scale agricultural monitoring site in a winter wheat/summer maize field in Hebei Province, China. Data assessment was supported by hydrogeochemical modelling using PHREEQC. The postdoc project combined the injection of fluorescent and ionic tracers at a PCE-contaminated site in multiple wells while conducting a pumping test. The project aims were to improve the understanding of contaminant transport in fractured limestone aquifers and to optimize the remedial planning of the site.
