Sir Keith O'Nions | BGS Board Chair

Sir Keith O'Nions

Sir Keith O'Nions was president and rector of Imperial College until 1 September 2014 and has been Chair of Cambridge Enterprise, University of Cambridge, since 2014. Sir Keith has previously held the positions of professor of geology at Columbia University, Royal Society Research Professor at the University of Cambridge and head of earth sciences at the University of Oxford.

Sir Michael Dixon | Director of the Natural History Museum

Sir Michael Dixon

Sir Michael Dixon trained as a zoologist at Imperial College, London, and then completed doctoral studies at the University of York. In 2000 he was appointed director general of the Zoological Society of London (ZSL), with responsibility for the organisation's two zoos, its research facility the Institute of Zoology, and the field conservation programmes division.
