As well as having sat underneath the unsupported block, one person is buried in the sand, trapping them so they couldn’t escape quickly. Another is lying down listening to music so is less likely to hear any small rocks that usually fall before a bigger rockfall happens. Make sure you pay attention to the cliffs.
