Awards

BGS Informatics has received a number of awards from the geospatial industry and the wider geoscience community. These awards acknowledge our achievements and provide a national and international benchmark validating the quality and relevancy of the work we undertake.

2017

Ian McHarg Medal

Jaana Pinnick received the Alison North Award for New Professionals, which "recognises the thoughts, observations and contributions of those who are new to information and records management".

2016

Ian McHarg Medal 2016 — awarded to Informatics' Helen Glaves "in recognition of her distinguished research in information technology applied to marine geoscience and, in particular, to her contribution to advance data sharing across different disciplines and organisational boundaries".
