I have been scientifically active in the filed of marine geology, investigating sedimentation processes in coastal and shelf environments in a range of different regions: the Vietnamese Shelf of South China Sea (BSc and MSc degrees in Geology), the Thailand Coast of the Indian Ocean, the Sendai Plain at the Japanese Coast, the SW Spitsbergen region of the Arctic Ocean (PhD degree in Earth Sciences) and the fjords of the Northern Norway.

In order to fulfil my long awaited desire to redirect my professional career into more technical role in supporting scientific research and teaching I took up a laboratory role at the Geography and Environment, Loughborough University, further step was to join BGS team at the Core Scanning Facility to use my geological knowledge to help addressing societal challenges as well.
