1:250 000 series. Free air gravity anomaly map of the United Kingdom and continental shelf (Provisional edition)

A series of Free air gravity anomaly maps issued on the same sheetlines as the '1:250,000 UTM Series, geological maps of the UK and continental shelf' series and are intended to complement that series. Only fourteen sheets were issued. The sheets are issued on the UTM based gridlines of 1 degree of latitude by 2 degrees of longitude. Sheets are indexed by their SW corner coordinates. The free air gravity anomaly is the measured gravity anomaly after a free-air correction is applied to correct for the elevation at which a measurement is made. This is done by adjusting these measurements of gravity to what would have been measured at sea level. The series was published between 1975 and 1989.
