Definition of Upper Boundary: At base of overlying unnamed bedded tuff, member of the Whorneyside Tuff Formation.
Thickness: 0 - 290m
Geographical Limits: Watendlath, Borrowdale, to Scafell, Langdale, Wet Side Edge - Duddon Valley - Stainton Pike, Cumbria.
