Definition of Lower Boundary: Faulted against Dicky Hare Member on coast.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Sharp change to micaceous, schistose semipelite of West Sands Mica Schist Member of Findlater Flag Formation.
Thickness: c.350m on coast section; appears to thicken slightly inland.
Geographical Limits: From coast at Sunnyside Bay [NJ 5340 6765 - 5370 6740] as far as a line from the southeast side of Crannoch Hill [NJ 521 664] to [NJ 528 600], just north of the A98.
