Definition of Lower Boundary: |
Base of rhyolitic, lava-like, welded tuff overlies parallel bedded, andesitic tuff (Whorneyside Tuff Formation). Essentially conformable but with angular discordances where the andesitic tuffs are slumped. |
Definition of Upper Boundary: |
At base of overlying main part of the Long Top Tuff Member: rhyolitic tuff and lapilli-tuff that is of lower-grade (less densely welded). |
