Mugearite and basalt lavas. The initial work on this formation strongly implied that tholeiitic (sub-alkali) basalt dyke intrusion immediately post-dated the extrusive phase. |

Overlies the Bracadale Formation and older lavas of the Skye Lava Group. Sporadic plant beds or plant fragments are locally present at the base of the unit. |
Definition of Upper Boundary: |
Uppermost lava flow. Overlain by superficial deposits or landslide material. |
