The base is described as "transitional", indicating that it is likely to be interbedded, with grey mudstone and dolomitic limestone of the Ballagan Formation (Paterson and Hall, 1986), and occurs at crop in Millport Bay [NS 1561 5416]. The lower boundary is conformable (Monro, 1999). |
