Definition of Upper Boundary: In the west: Gradational passage into dominantly gneissose semipelite of the Duchray Hill Gneiss Member. In the east: top of white fine-grained quartzite below gneissose semipelites of the Duchray Hill Gneiss Member.

Geographical Limits: Meall Odhar area [NO 11 65] to the head of Glen Isla [NO 17 71].
