| Abstract | This report presents a description and review of the methodologies developed by the British Geological Survey (BGS) to produce a national scale assessment of the concentrations of selected potentially harmful elements (arsenic, cadmium, chromium, nickel lead) in rural topsoils and of these chemical elements plus copper, tin and zinc in urban topsoils. The methodologies are described briefly in this report and in four scientific papers. |
