BGS offers a number of hydrogeological field services, including:

• aquifer properties characterisation

BGS has a range of state-of-the-art analytical facilities that can be used to provide high quality data for groundwater-related studies:

• Inorganic Geochemistry Facility
• fluorescence-absorbance to characterise organic matter
• faecal indicator organisms

BGS staff have extensive groundwater modelling experience within the UK and internationally. Our modelling services cover groundwater resources, groundwater quality and groundwater hazards, in addition to investigating how groundwater interacts with other environmental systems and processes.

BGS staff undertake groundwater-related consultancy for a wide range of customers both in the UK and internationally. We have worked with government departments, regulatory agencies, industry and academia, and have a strong track record in the management of environmental research programmes.
