Where possible, we try to use the OpenAPI standard including the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) API standards, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/ogcapi.ogc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OGC API suite<\/a> and SensorThingsAPI (uses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oasis-open.org\/committees\/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=odata\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OASIS OData protoco<\/a>l).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Available APIs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AGS utilities tool<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/agsapi.bgs.ac.uk\/\">AGS utilities tool<\/a> offers schema validation, data validation and conversion of geotechnical&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ags.org.uk\/data-format\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AGS files<\/a>. The API is publicly available for use in stakeholders&#8217; own analysis, processing or software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">API definition<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/agsapi.bgs.ac.uk\/docs\/\">Documentation<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/agsapi.bgs.ac.uk\/openapi.json\/\">OpenAPI document<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/agsapi.bgs.ac.uk\/redoc\/\">ReDoc<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sensor data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This service provides an application programming interface (API) for data scientists, software developers and software applications to query and download BGS-hosted sensor data in machine-readable JSON format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The API is powered by FROST Server and conforms to the OGC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ogc.org\/standards\/sensorthings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SensorThingsAPI<\/a> specification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>API definition<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sensors.bgs.ac.uk\/\">Home page<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sensors-docs.bgs.ac.uk\/\">Documentation<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/sensors.bgs.ac.uk\/FROST-Server\/v1.1\/api\">Open API document<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OpenGeoscience data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This service provides an application programming interface (API) for data scientists, software developers and software applications to query and download a selection of BGS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/geological-data\/opengeoscience\/\">OpenGeoscience<\/a> &nbsp;data which is available under Open Government Licence in machine-readable JSON format using the <a href=\"https:\/\/ogcapi.ogc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OGCAPI<\/a> standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This data can also be accessed directly via ESRI Arc Pro or QGIS.
