The operational hub of the UCPM is the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/echo\/what\/civil-protection\/emergency-response-coordination-centre-ercc_en\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Emergency Response Coordination Centre<\/a> (ERCC), which is responsible for the coordination of response to emergencies associated with natural disasters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All Risk Integrated System TOwards Trans-boundary hoListic Early-warning \u2014 European Natural Hazards Scientific Partnership (ARISTOTLE-ENHSP) is a project financed by the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/echo\/index_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation<\/a> (EC DG-ECHO) that delivers multi-hazard advice to the ERCC. In particular, ERCC:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>coordinates preparedness and response activities between EU member states<\/li><li>is a reference point to get reliable and science-based information before, during and after an emergency<\/li><li>is the 24\/7 point of contact for the EU\u2019s Integrated Political Crisis Response (IPCR) arrangements<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Natural Hazards Scientific Partnership (ENHSP) is led by the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ingv.it\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology<\/a> (INGV) and the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.zamg.ac.at\/cms\/de\/aktuell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">German Central Institution for Meteorology and Geodynamics<\/a> (ZAMG) and currently involves sixteen partners across Europe, bringing together scientific and operational experts on the following hazards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>earthquakes<\/li><li>flooding<\/li><li>forest fires<\/li><li>severe weather<\/li><li>tsunami<\/li><li>volcanoes<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are part of the volcanoes hazard group, in collaboration with INGV and the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.knmi.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute<\/a> (KNMI).
