Changing climate and increasing urban population density will put more stress on water resources and have an acute effect on valuable groundwater resources. PhiGO is also focused on quantifying the cascading impacts of flood and drought through key infrastructure and analysing the cost-benefit of differing water management and urban planning scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This NERC and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/pcieerd.dost.gov.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\">PCIEERD<\/a>-funded project brings together researchers from the UK (BGS and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imperial.ac.uk\/civil-engineering\" target=\"_blank\">Imperial College London<\/a>) with researchers and stakeholders from the Philippines (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ateneo.edu\/sose\/es\" target=\"_blank\">AdMU<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nwrb.gov.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\">NWRB<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/pagasa.dost.gov.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\">PAGASA<\/a> and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/coe.mmsu.edu.ph\/\" target=\"_blank\">MMSU<\/a>).
