The G-BASE geochemical data has been coupled with the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tellusgb.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tellus South West<\/a> collaborative environmental survey and research project funded by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nerc.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Natural Environment Research Council<\/a> (NERC). Soil maps can also be viewed at the <a href=\"http:\/\/mapapps2.bgs.ac.uk\/ukso\/home.html\">UK Soil Observatory portal<\/a> also.<\/p>\n<p>Search the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapapps2.bgs.ac.uk\/geoindex\/home.html\">BGS Onshore GeoIndex<\/a> for the availability of G-BASE soil, stream water and stream sediment data in south-west England.<\/p>\n<p>The downloads are interpolated maps of soil and stream sediment geochemical data based on the analysis of 1154 shallow (5\u201320\u00a0cm) soil samples and 3720 stream sediment samples.<\/p>\n<p>The images for major and trace elements in soil and stream sediment were generated using an inverse distance weighting (IDW) algorithm applied to the nearest 12 samples within a variable search radius capped at 10 km and a cell size of 500 m \u00d7 500\u00a0m. The interpolated images show element concentrations between known sample points.<\/p>\n<p>The colour ramp is based upon percentile classes of the data distribution.<\/p>\n<p>Information on the
