(2003)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An update to the strontium layer of the biosphere isotope map published by&nbsp;Evans et al. (2018).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A new sulfur dataset for plants in Great Britain.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The oxygen isotope composition of human tooth enamel based on&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/nora.nerc.ac.uk\/id\/eprint\/17976\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Evans et al. (2012)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lead isotope data from mineral deposits across Great Britain, predominantly from Blichertoft et al. (2016).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These five layers can be interrogated to produce a distribution map of the different isotope compositions that can be found across Great Britain. Specifically, it contains:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Biosphere strontium <sup>(<\/sup><sup>87<\/sup>Sr\/<sup>86<\/sup>Sr): strontium isotope variation derived from c.1300 strontium samples, predominantly from plants and water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sulfur \u03b4<sup>34<\/sup>S \u2030 <sub>(VCDT)<\/sub> variation from c.500 modern plants samples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contoured lead isotope variations across Great Britain based on c.600 mineral analyses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oxygen \u03b418O \u2030<sub> <\/sub>(human enamel): oxygen isotope variations in tooth enamel given as the mean and 1SD of \u2018local\u2019 populations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oxygen \u03b4<sup>18<\/sup>O drinking water \u2030 <sub>(VSMOW): <\/sub>oxygen isotope variations in groundwater across Great Britain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This resource is aimed at archaeologists using skeletal analysis to study the geographic origins, movements and diet of past people and populations.
