The maps are based on analyses of the &lt;150&nbsp;\u03bcm size fraction of up to 110&nbsp;794 sediment samples collected from first- and second-order (i.e. small) streams across the UK, which have been analysed for up to 52 major and trace elements (e.g. calcium, magnesium, cobalt, nickel etc). An atlas of the element stream sediment concentrations for the UK is <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/nora.nerc.ac.uk\/id\/eprint\/524956\/\" target=\"_blank\">available to download<\/a>. Similarly, a guide to the stream sediment dataset of Northern Ireland is available online for viewing as an <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/nora.nerc.ac.uk\/509171\/\" target=\"_blank\">ebook download<\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the rest of the UK, more detailed information on the G-BASE stream sediment dataset, including a series of regional geochemical atlases, is also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/information-hub\/publications\/regional-geochemical-atlas-series\/\">available to download.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UK stream sediment geochemical data information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Search the geochemistry section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/mapapps2.bgs.ac.uk\/geoindex\/home.html\">BGS Onshore GeoIndex<\/a> to view the availability of G-BASE stream sediment, stream water and soil data in Great Britain. Survey data from the G-BASE project is available under licence. href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/geology-projects\/applied-geochemistry\/g-base-regional-geochemistry\/stream-sediment-geochemical-atlas\/\">UK stream sediment atlas<\/a>, which can be downloaded as a
