If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to <a href=\"mailto:ngdc@bgs.ac.uk\">contact the NGDC<\/a> (ngdc@bgs.ac.uk).&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For our governing policies, please visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/ngdc\/about\/\">about NGDC page<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NERC grant-funded researchers&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/eds.ukri.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NERC Environmental Data Service<\/a> (EDS), NGDC is the place of deposit for NERC-funded datasets that fall under the discipline of geoscience, in compliance with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukri.org\/who-we-are\/nerc\/our-policies-and-standards\/nerc-data-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NERC&#8217;s data policy<\/a>, to which all NERC grant holders are subject.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further guidance and FAQs can be found on our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/ngdc\/nerc-grant-funded-researchers\">NERC grant-funded researchers <\/a>page. Please visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/ngdc\/data-management-plans-dmps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data management plans<\/a> (DMPs)&nbsp;or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/ngdc\/citing-data\">generating digital object identifiers<\/a> (DOIs)&nbsp;for more guidance on your deposited datasets.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">UK drilling companies and contractors&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Under UK legislation, BGS (and NGDC as an extension) is designated as the place to&nbsp;which <a href=\"https:\/\/webapps.bgs.ac.uk\/services\/NGDC\/records\/notification\/form.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">notification of borehole drilling<\/a> must be given and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgs.ac.uk\/ngdc\/depositing-sample-analysis-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resulting records must be deposited<\/a>.
