Lithological Description: Rhyolitic lapilli-tuff, pale-weathered, eutaxitic to parataxitic.
Definition of Lower Boundary: At base of rhyolitic lapilli-tuff in the Lickle Tuff Formation that usually overlies volcaniclastic sandstone and locally rests on the Paddy End Tuff Member.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Base of overlying Caw Sandstone Formation (volcaniclastic breccia and sandstone) or, locally, the Lag Bank Tuff Formation (dacitic lapilli tuff).
Thickness: 20 - 100m
Geographical Limits: Within the Ulpha Basin southeast of the River Duddon. Turner Hall (SD 230 960) to Great Stickle (SD 211 915) and Lickle Valley (SD 240 920), Cumbria.
