Lithological Description: A typically dark grey to black mudstone, commonly with pale siltstone laminae and sandstone dispersed as thin to medium beds; locally predominant thin- to thick-bedded, wacke and quartz arenite sandstone, and debrite (pebbly mudstone), which is well-developed in places.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Not seen.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Stratigraphical boundaries not seen, the top is probably unconformiable with the Dalby Group against which exposed contacts are elsewhere faulted. It is distinguished by a change from a mudstone-dominated facies in the Manx Group to a sandstone-dominated facies in Dalby Group.
Thickness: At least 3000 m thick..
Geographical Limits: Isle of Man.
