| Definition of Lower Boundary: | Sharp boundary with semipelite and quartzose psammite of Cnoc an Fhithich Formation at type locality; elsewhere taken at base of transitional calc-muscovite-biotite pelite. | ||
| Definition of Upper Boundary: | Transitional boundary via 5m bed of biotite calc-pelite between green tremolite-biotite limestone and carious-weathering calcareous diamictite. | ||
| Thickness: | 0 - 30m in Sheet 55W; probably considerably tectonically attenuated. | ||
| Geographical Limits: | From east side of Errochty Synform [NN 7200 6604] discontinuously to core of the Allt Mor synform [NN7688 5453]. East of Loch Tay Fault and north of Killiecrankie Slide, it occurs west of Creag Chlacharnach [NN 980 675] and in Glen Tilt [NN 888 680 - 896 713 and NN 912 713 - 944 743 - 920 705]. | ||
