Lithological Description: Pale buff granular limestone at base, overlain by tremolite-biotite pelite, pale dolomitic limestone and green tremolite-biotite limestone.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Sharp boundary with semipelite and quartzose psammite of Cnoc an Fhithich Formation at type locality; elsewhere taken at base of transitional calc-muscovite-biotite pelite.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Transitional boundary via 5m bed of biotite calc-pelite between green tremolite-biotite limestone and carious-weathering calcareous diamictite.
Thickness: 0 - 30m in Sheet 55W; probably considerably tectonically attenuated.
Geographical Limits: From east side of Errochty Synform [NN 7200 6604] discontinuously to core of the Allt Mor synform [NN7688 5453]. East of Loch Tay Fault and north of Killiecrankie Slide, it occurs west of Creag Chlacharnach [NN 980 675] and in Glen Tilt [NN 888 680 - 896 713 and NN 912 713 - 944 743 - 920 705].
