Lithological Description: Schistose to gneissose semipelite, generally garnetiferous. Stromatic to granoblastic migmatites in the east passing westwards into predominantly schistose rocks.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Base of dominantly semipelitic succession overlying the dominantly psammitic and quartzitic Corrydon Psammite Member in the Glen Shee area and the volcanic Farragon Volcanic Formation farther west.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Base of calcareous rocks of the overlying Loch Tay Limestone Formation.
Thickness: Not known
Geographical Limits: Glen Shee to upper Glen Isla.
