Definition of Lower Boundary: Lower limit of metavolcanic units within graphitic pelites and semipelite sequence of the Glenbuchat Graphitic Schist Formation.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Upper boundary of amphibolitic material in partly graphitic semipelite and pelite sequence of the Glenbuchat Graphitic Schist Formation.
Thickness: 75 - 205m
Geographical Limits: Stretches from the Tomintoul Old Red Sandstone outlier via Muckle Fergie Burn and Inchmore (Delnadamph) to Clach Choutsaich and Brown Cow Hill (Glen Gairn Granite).
