Definition of Upper Boundary: Outgoing of grey and black to purple slates and incoming coarse gritty and microconglomeratic arenites of the Creag Innich Sandstone Formation.
Thickness: c.500m (estimated)
Geographical Limits: Southwest of Loch Tay Fault from Loch Venachar to Loch Lomond (= to Luss Slates) and farther southwest, where known as 'Dunoon Phyllites'.
Parent Unit: Southern Highland Group (SOHI)
