Definition of Upper Boundary: Indistinct contact with bedded volcaniclastic sandstone (undivided) of the Deepdale Sandstone Formation.
Thickness: 90m (maximum)
Geographical Limits: Deepdale and Rydal Head, northeast Lake District (between Grasmere and Patterdale).
Parent Unit: Deepdale Sandstone Formation (DPD)
