Definition of Upper Boundary: Sharp upward change in a conformable sucession from sandstone to predominatly siltstone - top of last sandstone below the Long Bridge Sandstone.

Geographical Limits: Abbeystead Forest [SD 5500 5400] southeast of Lancaster.
