Definition of Upper Boundary: Top of highest thick (c.20 - 30m) unit of breccia and/or pebbly sandstone, overlain by sandstone of the Deepdale Sandstone Formation.
Thickness: 200m (maximum)
Geographical Limits: Hart Crag and Hartsop above How, northeastern Lake District. (Between Grasmere and Patterdale).
Parent Unit: Deepdale Sandstone Formation (DPD)
