Definition of Upper Boundary: Top of dominantly graphitic succession below dominantly calcareous succession of the overlying Ben Lawers Schist Formation.

Geographical Limits: North of Tyndrum eastwards to north of Loch Lyon and then from north of Schiehallion to east of Spittal of Glen Shee.
