Lithological Description: An assemblage with no obvious stratigraphy, consisting of andesite breccia (Bardon Breccia) and porphyritic dacite (Peldar Porphyritic Dacite).
Definition of Lower Boundary: Not seen.
Definition of Upper Boundary: Possible fault contact with Precambrian volcaniclastic siltstones and sandstones of the Bradgate Formation.
Thickness: At least 250 m thick.
Geographical Limits: Western Charnwood Forest, between Bardon Hill Quarry, Bardon Hill and Birch Hill.
Parent Unit: Charnian Supergroup (CHA)
