Reid (the Chalk and to the south, 1884-1891) G.W. Lamplugh (most of the remainder, 1899-1900) and C.E. Hawkins (a small area in the north-west, c1895). Sheet 317 published with Drift 1902. Reprinted with emendations 1957. Sheet 332 published with Drift 1893. Reprinted with minor amendments 1954 and 1968. Reconstituted without geological revision and reprinted on the 1:50 000 scale 1975. Resurveyed on the 1:10 560 and 1:10 000 scales by R.J. Wyatt, C.R. Bristow, F.G. Berry, E.R. Shephard-Thorn, P.M.
