Corporate objectives:
To enable participants to:
- have a working knowledge of the principles behind the method,
and of the associated terminology
- know how to transfer geology from borehole logs to seismic sections
- be able to recognise and interpret a variety of structural and
stratigraphic features and to distinguish between geological features
and geophysical artefacts
- be able to interpret a grid of seismic data, incorporating other
surface and subsurface data, to produce a structural map of a given
stratigraphic level.

Geoscientists who wish or need to become acquainted with the seismic
reflection method.
Course description:
The emphasis in on giving participants 'hands on' experience via
a series of practical exercises that increase in complexity as the
course progresses. This is combined with formal instruction.
