To give participants:
- A grounding in the principles of hydrogeology
- An ability to take sound hydrogeological decisions and to know
when to call in a specialist hydrogeologist
Who should attend:
Geoscientists and others involved in hydrogeology who have had no
formal training in the subject.
Course description:
This course provides an introduction to the theory and practice
of hydrogeology covering both the water resource and quality aspects
of the subject. The course is aimed principally at those involved
in the geosciences and related disciplines with little or no previous
experience of groundwater.

- Occurrence and flow of groundwater
- Groundwater evaluation techniques
- Groundwater quality and pollution
- Protection of groundwater
