Summary

My main research interest is the organic geochemistry of estuarine and marine sediments.

  • The structural identification and quantification of sedimentary biomarkers, and determination of their 13C content
  • The application of organic proxies to reconstruct past marine and continental climate
  • The transport of soil organic carbon from land to the ocean
  • The source, fate and behaviour of persistent organic pollutants in rivers and estuaries
