Notification of intention to drill a borehole or sink a well

This form is provided to assist in the provision of information required under the Mining Industry Act 1926 (including the Petroleum Production Act 1934) and the Water Resources Act 1991. (See separate leaflets setting out the statutory obligations).

The British Geological Survey welcomes the notification of the sinking of bores or site investigation work not covered by the above acts and those who wish to supply information on a voluntary basis should also use this form.
