Summary

The Thames Gateway project was launched on the 11th November 2004 at the Royal Society in London. This hugely successful event was the first opportunity for those working in the Thames Gateway region to view the data and resources available from BGS. Talks covered a range of topics including: BGS’s Geoscience data holdings, aquifer vulnerability, flooding, sustainable urban drainage, 3D lithological modelling, predicting engineering properties, environmental and economic information for planning, systems and contaminated land.
