VC3 BGS 3 m vibrocorer
VC3 is a compact vibrocoring system that can take soft sediment samples from the seabed in up to 2000 m of water. A 3 m sediment sample can be recovered contained within a plastic liner tube. This system can be operated from much smaller vessels with limited deck space and can be launched by means of an A frame or ships crane.

The 3 m vibrocorer comes in two different versions a lightweight nonretract basic corer and heaver fully retractable computer controlled system. See datasheets for further details.

This system is ideal for collecting short cores when working in shallower water where it is harder for large vessels to operate.
