Information from the BGS Landslide Response Team survey of this landslide. The landslide was located 8 km west of Arrochar on the A83. The A83, known as the Rest and Be Thankful Pass, is an important trunk road in Argyll and Bute in Scotland. It is to the west of Loch Lomond and is the main route to towns and villages in southern Argyll from Glasgow.
