Lithological Description: Pale olive-grey argillaceous shelly limestones interbedded with medium olive-grey, bioturbated, shell-detrital silty mudstones. Distinctive fauna includes Rhynchonelloidella wattonensis.
Definition of Lower Boundary: Base defined by an upward increase in shell-detritus in calcareous mudstone.
Definition of Upper Boundary: The top of the uppermost argillaceous limestone marked by a decrease in shell-detritus.
Thickness: To 3 m
Geographical Limits: South of Mere Fault to Dorset coast (at crop).
Parent Unit: Frome Clay Formation (FRC)
