Top of the limestones of the Fuller's Earth Rock. |
Definition of Upper Boundary: |
The base of the lowermost argillaceous limestone of the Wattonensis Beds Member (Frome Clay Formation) marked by an increase in shell-detritus. |
Thickness: |
24 to 28 m in the Bath-Frome area, thin or absent between Baggridge and Purse Caundle, and 21 m in the Mappowder Borehole. |
Geographical Limits: |
Bath district, south to the Dorset coast (at crop). |
